How the TikTok Creator Rewards Program pays
TikTok pays creators for qualified views on original videos that are longer than one minute. A video starts earning once it passes 1,000 qualified views. Duets, Stitches, photo posts and sponsored content do not count. A view is qualified when it comes from the For You feed, lasts more than five seconds, is counted once per account and is not paid, promoted or fraudulent.
TikTok does not publish its rates. Reports from creators in 2026 put earnings at about $0.36 to $1.04 per 1,000 qualified views, around $0.80 on average. That is what the calculator uses. Topic, audience country, watch time and search value all move the rate.
Who can join
- 18 years or older (19 in South Korea), with a personal account in good standing
- At least 10,000 followers
- At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days
- Living in an eligible country. The program is available in the US, UK, Germany, France, Brazil and Mexico, among others; check the list in TikTok Studio for your country.
Example
500,000 monthly views on videos longer than a minute, of which 70% qualify, gives 350,000 qualified views. At $0.80 per 1,000 that is about $280 a month, with a realistic range of about $126 to $364.
Earning more on TikTok
- Make videos people finish. Watch time matters most for qualified views and for reach.
- Answer search questions. Videos that answer something people search for keep getting views for months.
- Combine income streams. Brand deals usually pay far more per video than Creator Rewards; the influencer rate calculator gives a starting price. TikTok Shop affiliate links, LIVE gifts and subscriptions add more.
